About Me

Being a therapist is my second career. Born and raised in New England, I spent the first 15 years of my professional life working within the Harvard University Library system. Although I found much satisfaction there, I decided to shift my focus from books to people. I went back to school, and in 2003, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

After moving from Boston to Portland, Oregon, to Indianapolis, I settled in Denver with my family in 2010. I am fortunate to have experienced living in all these beautiful cities, however, like many of you, once I landed in Colorado I knew this was where I belonged.

When not working, you will find me enjoying my family and friends. I re-energize by spending time with my camera, reading, or working creatively with my hands. On weekends, I am often enjoying the beauty of the Colorado mountains either skiing, hiking, relaxing, or staring at the cars parked around me on I-70.

Experience

My clinical experience includes counseling college students at the Massachusetts College of Art; treating adults, individually and in group settings, for mental health and substance abuse issues in outpatient settings; and conducting adult substance abuse evaluations.

Before moving into private practice, I spent eight years providing team-based assessment, referral and monitoring services for physicians and physician assistants in Colorado.
